Body of Time
Material: The work is executed in acrylic on canvas using thin layered applications of paint and soft atmospheric transitions. The surface is built through washes, dissolving contours and subtle tonal modulations, creating a sense of immaterial depth and temporal fluidity. Object: The composition presents a blurred anthropomorphic form emerging from an intense monochrome red field. The figure appears partially dissolved, with facial features only faintly suggested. The lower part of the body is rendered through dense dotted textures resembling particles, cells or sedimented traces, as if the figure is simultaneously forming and disintegrating. Concept: Body of Time reflects on the human presence as a temporal phenomenon — unstable, vulnerable and continuously transforming. The red field evokes associations with inner space, memory, blood circulation or existential напряження, while the dissolving contours suggest the erosion of identity through time. The painting proposes a poetic vision of the body not as a fixed physical entity but as a process shaped by experience, memory and mortality. Through minimal figurative cues and atmospheric abstraction, the artist constructs an image of becoming — where presence and disappearance coexist within the same moment.
