Bird
Painted wooden modules, assembled found objects Part of the "KIN" project, this sculpture represents a fictional relative—or perhaps a symbolic pet—within an expanded, imagined family. Constructed from painted wooden modules in bright synthetic colors, the tactile, three-dimensional pixel structure references both children’s construction toys and digital visual systems. The work presents a stylized avian figure composed of cubic, cylindrical, and conical forms. The simplistic geometric beak and blocky wings introduce a playful distortion of anatomy, making the figure resemble a toy and a totem at the same time. This modular body suggests that even our connection to nature and folklore is actively assembled from cultural memories and media images. Balancing between innocence and theatrical self-presentation, the Bird embodies the transformation of childhood imagination into a contemporary companion.
